Evelyn D. Lowry

Evelyn D. Lowry passed away on May 5, 2008. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and was 88 years old.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William I. Lowry.  Evelyn and "Ike"  moved to Arizona in 1943, finally settling in Phoenix to raise their family. Throughout the years Evelyn was very active at First Southern Baptist Church of Phoenix, in the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary,  the Arizona Animal Welfare League and the Rio Salado Vizsla Club. Evelyn is survived by her 5 children, Clark (Sue), Martha Cooper (Larry), Bil (Liv), Patrick (Carol), and Robert (Mirela).  She was also was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who enjoyed her being computer savvy and an interesting conversationalist.  Evelyn's surviving brother, Lewis Kreger of CT., sister, Marian K. Meekins of Virginia,  and extended family members join Evelyn's children in celebrating her long and full life.  Services at a later date.
