Franki Lane Obituary

Lane, Franki Morgan (nee Battersby)
50, of Phoenix joined the Angels on July 6, 2013. Franki was a true Phoenix native and a graduate of Shadow Mountain high school, class of 1981. After high school she became a certified nursing assistant. Franki was devoted to having a mental positive attitude (MPA) and caring for others. Her joy came from scrapbooking, collecting angels and special trinkets, and spending time with her four legged children, Brodey, Girlfriend, Chill and Taco, which she loved dearly. Franki's family and friends meant everything to her. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Lanny, sons Evan (Alyssa), Garrick (Ally), and Cody, her little bug, as well as her siblings, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements provided by Rude Family Northwest Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Arizona Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Franki's name. "I love you today and a gentle hug," ~ Franki Lane.

Franki you were such an amazing person, you could bring a smile to anyones face and cheer them up when they needed a laugh or lend an ear when they needed to vent. You went way to early but you touched a lot of souls while you were on this Earth and I know myself as well as everyone else that knew you will never forget you. Thank you for being great friend and an awesome second mother.

My dear friend franki, im sorry I never got to say bye. You my friend were such a good person, always smiling laughing. And so happy whenever I saw you. We had such a fun time while we worked together. We all will see u again one day. I miss u dearly already

July 11, 2013

What fun I remember having when you all lived in Flagstaff. Aunt Cindy and I were so excited to have you living close by and what fun we had at picnics at Red Rock Crossing, family dinners at your house in Kachina Village where Aunt Franki always made sure everyone had whatever was their favorite, Halloween parties, Christmas parties, summer afternoons where Julia and Adam got to play with you in our backyard or yours. Aunt Franki always made me feel special and I know she loved Julia and Adam like they were her own children. She had such a big heart and a true desire for what is good in life. I don't know why her life on earth had to be so short, but I know it continues and that she is just on the next part of her journey and that we will see her again one day. Though I have not seen any of you in a long time my love for each of you has never changed and I think of you often and always ask Uncle Jerry if he knows how you're doing. My prayers are with you and my hope is that you can find comfort and peace during this sad time.

All my love to you, Criquett

Words often times seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel. Although I did not know Franki personally, knowing what a wonderful young man Garrick is, I know Franki a loving, good hearted woman. Wishing Garrick and the entire Lane family peace to bring comfort and courage to face the days ahead. May loving memories forever be held in your hearts.

With sincere sympathy,

Franki and I went to school together. We were not close friends and although we had some classes together I can't say I really knew her. But now, I am greatful for the posts here which tell me the story of a very caring person, a devoted mother and life partner and a loving sister. Kinda wish I would have had the chance to get know Franki better.

Peace be with all who love her and miss her.

Mom, I can't believe your gone. I still don't understand why you had to go, but I know at least now your not hurting and can be reunited with grandpa. I will do everything in my power to make you proud and to fulfill all the promises I made to you when we were together. There is not another person on this earth who made such a positive impact on a person's life than you. I know you will be watching us from up above smiling and helping us all through the tough times. You will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. I love you more than anything. Can't wait to see you again :)

I worked with Franki at A Second Look and we kept in touch... Franki was a wonderful friend and truly one of the nicest people I have ever known. She really did try to always think positively and if there was ever something she could do to help a person she always would. I'm glad that Franki is no longer in pain and I look forward to the day when I can see her again. I love you, Franki...

I am truly heart broken I wake up and look outback and still see you smoking your cig and drinking pepsi as I got ready for work that last Sunday and when I tell you how you need to stop smoking you'd say it's not the quanity of your life but the quality. Quality it was, god couldn't have blessed me with a better best friend/sister then you! I keep re-reading our text messages the days leading up to your surgery and how scared you were. You always had great advise and saw the positive in everything! You were truly one in a million and will be missed dearly! I thank god we got one last weekend together before you went to heaven. As much as it hurts I know your telling everyone in heaven don't they know your Franki Lane. Love always and forever you lil sister Jaime, Dylan and babygirl! We will meet again one day!

Evan, Garrick, & Cody;
I'm so very saddened at the untimely passing of your mother. My sincerest prayer is that you'll hold tight to your special memories of her and of all of her wonderful traits: her gentleness, her caring nature, and for the great love she felt for each of you, her sons.
Lanny;
My prayer for you is that the Lord will grant you the strength to continue on without your partner and best friend- guiding your sons with your great love and fatherly devotion for each of them.
I'm praying for each one of you and for your entire family. May God bless you with His infinite peace and comforting hand.
Love, Janean
