Garnett gave my mom many happy years especially being able to live near her sister,Doris for a few years. I remember the year we all went up to Whidbey Island for Thanksgiving. We stayed in the basement and Garnett kept turning off all the lights and the heat when no one was down ther and we were always freezing. It snowed on us up there too! Garnett didn't know what to think of all of us together because we could get a bit loud but I think he enjoyed all of us crazy loud Anderson's and we loved on him! We will miss papa sitting in his chair, yelling "what Lola?" Telling us to go "kiss a pig!" Thanks GA for all you gave to our family and for loving mom! See you in heaven one day soon!

The greatest memories with Papa were spent fishing and playing in his garden on Whidbey Island. I remember fishing with Papa and standing on the dock for what felt like hours without a bite. As we were packing up to leave I thought I had a fish and looked at the line and said it was probably just the wind that blew my line. I quickly reeled it in and sure enough the tiniest fish was on the end of the line! I even have the picture with Papa to prove it isn't a fish story. I'll miss him saying, "Well kiss my foot," or "Well kiss a pig." We will miss you Papa. Love you!
