George Colangelo Obituary

Colangelo, George Stephen "Steve"
68, of Phoenix passed away on August 7, 2010 with his family at his side. Born December 26, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to Jennie (Colombo) and Rocco Colangelo. He came to Phoenix in 1973 and began a career with Fry's grocery. He retired in 1988 to pursue a career as a professional photographer. In his later years he volunteered as a cook for St. Vincent de Paul. He loved his family, his cats and the Yankees! An only child, he was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by daughters Kim and Gina, son-in-laws Kirby and Chris, grandchildren Wyatt, JD, Jessika, Bailie and Dayton. We will love and miss him always. Service will be September 6, 10am at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, 16223 S. 48th St, in Phx. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Phoenix.

I worked with Steve at Fry's. He was a pleasure to work with. We shared a lot of laughs together. We also talked about the misic of the 50s. May god bless the family. AL GOMEZ
