May God bless and strengthen "The Davis family"... I go a long way back knowing alot of the family members some friends, classmates and Fatima McWilliams is my niece. Although I only knew Aunt Gertie from a distance, the times I was in her presence she always wore a warm smile. And if it's any comfort to the family knowing she was a true child of God and that she lived out the years that God has promised. Take that along with all the love, smiles and great memories. Although you'll miss her dearly, know she's in a better place, a "Golden Palace" looking down and still praying for each and every one of you. "Family" always remember God is a comforter / strengthner, he does all but fail. You're in my thoughts and prayers. God bless. Love you all.

Gertie was an absolutely beautiful, big-hearted, nurturing woman who was like a second mother to me. Her work ethic was amazing: her integrity, honesty and reliability were above reproach and she consistently took the perfect degree of initiative in solving household problems. She was my grandmother's best friend, my mother's trusted helper and as I said, my second mom. She was truly a member of our family. She babysat both of my kids and I will always be grateful for the genuine love and concern she showed for both of them. I am filled with wonderful memories of this remarkable, one-of-a-kind woman who was part of my extended family for literally 50 years. I will remember her forever. God bless you, Gertie. I love you.
