Gerun Moore Obituary
100, of Sun City, AZ passed away on April 11, 2010. Born in New Orleans, La in 1910 this charismatic man was a famous New Orleans jazz band leader during prohibition playing the well-known hotels in Florida, Chicago, New York, L.A. and Maine. He played with some of the greats, including Louis Prima, Sid Caesar, Bobby Hackett, and Gene Austin. His true passion was Numerology, and he was considered "America's No. 1 Numerologist" having written several books, his most notable being "Numbers Will Tell" in the 1970's. His secret to long life was laughter and he touched the hearts of everyone he met. He is survived by his beloved wife Sherie, daughters Mary Crowe, Shelly deLaureal, Ellen Beggs, Geraldine Williams, son Charles Mendonca, niece Melva Fournier, numerous grandchildren, great-grand children and his extended family at Sunview Care Center in Youngtown. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Gerun's name to the charity of your choice.
