He is predeceased by his father John Joseph Panarello, mother Jenni Presti Panarello and sister May Panarello Hamner. He was a well renowned Arizona aviation figure and World War II Army Air Corps Pilot. His contributions to the State of Arizona aviation community and his longtime career in the aviation industry are known by a long list of distinguished friends including deceased friend and fellow pilot, Senator Barry Goldwater. He garnered immeasurable awards and accolades and held the highest esteemed positions in the following organizations: Quiet Birdmen, which held a special place in his heart; Organized Flying Adjusters; Silver Eagles and National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters. Uncle Guy was one in a million. Big laugh, big mouth, big heart all wrapped up in a big guy. To know him was to love him. And I loved him a lot.

My wedding to your wife Anne's brother Gerald in Ct took place one day after you celebrated your 25th wedding anninversary in Az. You were the first Smith family members I met prior to our wedding . How welcoming you were Guy! I felt as if I had always known you. You always left the "latch key" out for us whenever we could manage a visit from the East Coast.

Our first trip West was a memorable one.You flew Gerald and me to Tucson for a day. What a thrill to be in a private plane with you my brother-in-law the pilot!!! I saw for myself first hand how much flying meant to you.

With your outgoing personality and easily recognizable laugh, you endeared yourself to many.

Thank you Guy for sharing some wonderful memories these past 36 years. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Love,

Janeymae

I first met Guy at a QB Governors conference. In a very short while, I knew how much QB meant to him, but I now realize how much he meant to QB. I will sorely miss Guy, and his great sense of humor, I will miss his contagious laugh, and, his great personality. He would greet me with a big "Goomba" where ever we would meet, this is a great loss for the QB Brotherhood, and an enormus gain for the Heavens, Blue Skies and Tailwinds My Friend!

It is more than appropriate for "Uncle Guy's" Funeral Services to take place on Veteran's Day, Nov.11th. He was the first in our family to enter military service for WWII. He prepared himself for a career in the United States Army Airforce, long before the boys became men in our neighborhood, and before his country entered the war.

He was personally involved when honoring Veterans, most of his life, but particularly on Nov. 11th.

His love of flying knew few bounds and this love continued after he completed his military service, until his final days. Guy was a self-made business man and was known and honored in every corner of his adopted state, and beyond, during his long and distinguished career.

Our family is fortunate that he came our way.

Guy was a fellow QB EC member when we first met and our friendship continued through the years. He was a remarkable, giving, and accomplished individual who will be sorely missed by all. RIP old buddy.

Uncle Guy's laugh is what I will always remember. It was so infectious no on in a room could help but smile when you'd hear him laugh. He truly enjoyed life and shared so much with everyone who knew and loved him. I will always cherish the wonderful times spent with him and the whole Panarello family. Thanks for dipping your wings as my sisters and I would wave to you as you flew over the house. Fly on home, we’ll miss you.

Our sincerest condolences to "Auntie Anne," Donna & Pat, Diane, Jay & Kenna, Joanne & Cecil, and all Uncle Guy's grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Love,

Patti, Patrick, Dan & Andrew

What a special, great, and loving Uncle, Uncle Guy, has been in my life. What a blessing it has been to share the same birthday as him...March 29th.

His voice, his laughter, his love will live on in all the hearts of those he has touched.

Emails and Instant Messaging, these last couple of years, closed the distance between the East Coast and Arizona. Those wonderful conversations, late at night, will be sorely missed.

He could always bring a smile to my face and laughter to my heart. He had a gift in brightening up a cloudy day. The many, many, wonderful memories and visits, that had been made over the years, will be cherished deeply, forever.

So...let him live on in the smiles you see and the laughter you hear. He won't be far behind in spirit.

Thanks Uncle Guy!

Our having known Guy for over 63 years, makes us realize what a great experience it was to know him. He lived a great part of his life through his son and namesake who is a longtime Captain for Continental Airlines.
