Irma, I've never seen an Angel but I know you are the most beautiful one in Heaven. I will always cherish the memories I have of you. You were so much like a mother to me and I will never forget your wisdom and grace. Your heart was as beautiful as your smile. I will miss you always...that is until we meet again!

Forever Friends

December 30, 2010

To family and friends who loved our dear Irma.

Irma touched each of us in a special and unique way. We each have personal memories of one who loved unconditionally, taught by example and challenged each of us to be our best to the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Irma lived life fully with passion and honesty, with highest regard for others. She loved people, she loved nature. I will never see a dolphin without thinking of her. I am thankful that God gave me Irma as the dearest of dear friends. Through her unwavering friendship, I learned to be a better person. I learned to love all, to forgive when hurt, to encourage to do right and good, to laugh, to cry, to play and to enjoy life. Above all, Irma prayed for me and my family. She was secure in God’s love and forgiveness, and in the love of her family.

Whether skiing the heights of the San Francisco Peaks or hiking the depths of the Grand Canyon, Irma was the special friend that each of us prays for and is forever blessed to find.

Irma, see you again on heaven’s ski slopes.
Miss you, my dear.
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. Philippians 1:3

Love,
Your forever friend,
Ida

Moments Now Memories: Written by Kayle Knight

Sitting together on your bed
Upon your shoulder, I lay my head.
In each others arms we stay
We talk, we laugh
Til it grows late.

Moments I love
To spend with you
Each one creating
A memory new

Only you could understand
How much I need you to hold my hand.
Heaven knows you're my best friend,
It's nice to see your face again.

I sit myself on this bed
Upon my shoulder you lay your head.
Helplessly you cough and sputter
All we can do now
Is hold each other

Moments in time
Spent with you
Now each a memory
I'm flipping through

They try all they can to give the best of care
Not a bit of this really seems fair.
I press my lips to your face
Soon, I fear, you'll leave this place.

I whisper to you one last goodbye
Nowhere to go, but lie down and cry.
Pain sinks in, takes it's hold
I find my world dark, cold.

Moments of weakness
Wishing it wasn't true.
Holding tight to memories
Wishing they were you.

Now I'll need time to understand
Why you're not here to hold my hand.
Heaven now holds my best friend,
One day, I'll see your face again.

I love you Grandma and I miss you every minute of every day!
Love, Your "Sissy-Sue"

Irma, I so very much enjoyed getting to know you when you back for the family reunion. You are a very special person. While we miss you here, it's wonderful knowing that you are dancing in the streets of heaven, and we will get to meet again! Love, your cousin from Iowa - Gale Dunkin

I will miss you, Maxine (you know I could never call you Irma!). I will never forget what a blessing you and Gary were to me when mom passed away three years ago. Oh, what a wonderful reunion there was in heaven the moment you stepped foot on the streets of gold. I am sure that all of our loved ones who have gone before us were standing next to Jesus just waiting to welcome you to the Kingdom. The blessed hope keeps me going everyday. Just to hear Him say "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord" [Matt. 25:21, 23] and knowing that my children walk in the Truth [3 John 4] are my only two goals in life, so that I may rejoice with Him in eternity. You will always remain in my heart as one of my most treasured cousins. May God bless and comfort those who remain and give them peace in knowing that you are safe at home. Until we meet again.

My beautiful Mama, how I miss you so! I know God will not give us more than we can handle...but I think this time, He has grossly overestimated me! My heart breaks anew with each day...sometimes, with each moment. I keep waiting for you to come home...I know that it is you waiting for me to come home now.
I love you so much Mama..I hope you always knew that!

I will Praise the Lord Most High!

My life is a poem penned
by God
Dedicated to my
Beautiful Mother Irma

Born to be the child he created to see
He longed for His father to walk in me

I gave him my heart, He does his part
The gift of his grace he does impart.

The burdens we share they don’t seem fair Yet the love he has is so rare, he even numbers my every hair.

And with the ink that fills the quill
He masters even the spills we feel.

He has a sovereign plan,
His love steadfast,
Forever and Ever it will last!

Oh my beloved you are mine to keep
Your eyes are heavy; your body is weak,
I know the beginning and the end,
I have engraved you
in the palm of my hand.

You have covered my
insecurities and removed all my fear
My loved ones are gathered
yet I shed no tear.

I never imagined how my life would end, And all you’re heavenly Angels that you would send.

I slept, but my heart was awake
It is the voice of my beloved my soul to take!
Arise,
my darling Irma,
my beautiful bride,
Arise and come with me!

You have a fragrance all your own,
I love the way you smell,
Your love is better than life to me, soon you will be home.

I hear the sound of your breathing; I see your chest heaving,
Soon I will delight to hear you singing.

Forever to Praise Him in my New Life to come Only to see his shinning face in his blessed Son.
Deaths war is over, the victory won
All in the name of the Holy One.

You’re my knight in Shinning Armor!

You have paid an enormous price for me
The contract is sealed in your own blood!

You have prepared a beautiful room for me in your Castle,
I was poor and had no clothes; and in your wealth You provided a dazzling white dress for me to wear in your presence.

You have thrown a great party in my honor, a magnificent meal. I want to get up and serve you but, you would not have it.

You came and knelt before me and fed me from your own hand. You are not ashamed to be seen with me.

Who am I that arises like the dawn,
Fair as the moon, bright as the sun,
Majestic as the stars in procession.

I am his Bride, riding in royalty
Honored before all the people.
A display of His Splendor.

“The Angels beckon me from Heavens open door, and I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.”
You will forever missed and loved by so many people. I feel blessed to have been a part of your beautiful life.

Until We Meet Again..

I have gone to Heaven now, and I ask you not to cry.
God has new and wondrous plans for me, so dry your eyes.

This is my new beginning, a Crown awaited me.
I know that it must hurt right now,
but Sweetheart don’t you grieve.

Know that I'll be with you, living on inside your heart.
Although we're not together, we will never be apart.

You will hear me in the laughter,
of the children when they play.
When our Lord someday calls you Home,
I’ll be waiting at the Gate.

The sun will shine tomorrow,
and your heart will smile again.
So count each blessing here on earth,
until we meet again.
