Jacob Arnold Obituary
died unexpectedly on February 27, 2017 at the age of 20. He was born in Phoenix on September 9, 1996 and grew up in Cave Creek. Jacob was a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout, a 2015 graduate of Pinnacle High School, where he enjoyed working on the yearbook. He was a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying political science. He had a beautiful smile that would warm a room, a quick wit and an infectious laugh and his presence made the world a happier place. Jacob enthusiastically volunteered many years at the Boys and Girls Club and was a mentor to younger kids, always offering a happy grin and encouraging word. He loved to travel and enjoyed his visits to Europe. Jacob will be remembered for his kindness and loyal friendship and his immense love for his family. He is survived by his parents, Ben and Shelley; sisters Amanda Ghaemmaghami (Dr. Vafa), Courtney Moore (Eiron); grandparents Dr. Robert and Jeannie Meyer; aunts Lori, Toni, Nikki, Betty and Karin; cousins Madeleine, Delaney, Wesley and Sodjy; nieces and nephews Joey, Katie, Alana, Anthony, Naison, Kian, Deklan and Elli; many friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his brother Bill Arnold, Uncle Terry Bartlett and grandparents Boyd and Beth Arnold. Celebration of Life will be held at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church 11735 N. Scottsdale Rd. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00PM. Memorial donations may be made to Donor Network of Arizona (www.dnaz.org), Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale (www.bgcs.org) or Boy Scouts of America (www.grandcanyonbsa.org).

I used to teach Jacob gymnastics at Lincoln Learning Center when he was 3 - 5 years old! His enthusiasm was contagious and he was so excited to take class each week. He was bright and had such a shiny demeanor, zest for life and I'm grateful to have been touched by his presence.
