We just found out today about Jim. He was a great friend and had the kindest heart. He was always there to lend an old friend a helping hand. My deepest regards and sympathy to the family. He will certainly be missed. I will never forget the laughs after hours, the funny emails, and cartoon humor. To the family, including the office, we will all miss him. Jim was a great man.

To the Bates family and his accounting associates at the office: Jim was not only a great guy to work with every year at tax time, but I always looked forward to discussing other things of importance and about his life. Jim will be missed by everyone who knew him, perhaps even by members of the IRS who he did battle with over the years. My sympathies and condolences to you all.
