James Marine Obituary
93, passed away in Sun City, AZ April 21, 2011. He was born in West Liberty, OH to Arthur and Celesta Marine. Jim worked for the US Dept. of Agriculture. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stacey Ambs. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Hazel Maxine Marine; children, David Marine, Patricia Ambs, Robert Marine and Jeffrey Marine; brother, Floyd Marine; grandchildren, Steven Ambs, Scott Ambs, Naomi Marine and Zachary Marine; great grandchildren, Joshua Ambs, Alex Ambs and Annabelle Ambs. A visitation will be held at 3PM followed by funeral service at 4PM on Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity. Condolences can be made to www.sunlandmemorial.com

Uncle Jim will be remembered as a cool, calm guy with a dry sense of humor all of us at family gatherings could appreciate. His legacy of family, business and retirement is one we can use as an example. Jim was a little more serious than Anna, Virgil, Lefty, Floyd, Phyllis, and Dorothy, my mother. As the oldest, maybe that was a good thing. Jane, my wife, said how much she enjoyed meeting and knowing Jim. I know he will be missed.

Visiting with Uncle Jim and Maxine, either at their home in Arizona or here in Ohio, was always a treat. We greatly admired Jim for his accomplishments, his wisdom and his friendliness. We regret not being able to spend more time with him and Max. He was a special uncle and friend. Blessing to Max and the family.

I was just walking in your old neighborhood yesterday in Dearborn. Sue Moco Poole sent me the news of your Dad's death. I'm so pleased to know that your folks were married for 70 years and that they lived close to you in Arizona. I remember Uncle James and family. I remember them visiting Lyle and Glenna Marine in Carey Ohio when I was in middle school and meeting David who was more my age. He lived a good long life. Blessings, Dick & Tonia Marine 2101 Houston St., San Angelo, TX 76901
