It was with great sadness that I received the news that James had passed away. I still find myself asking questions that I will never have answered, and wishing that James were still just a phone call away. Thanks, James, for the many years we spent as friends, co-workers, and all around best buds. My deepest sympathies go out to all of those who knew and loved James for his big heart and his warm, gentle spirit.

I was completely shocked upon hearing the news of a friend who was more than a friend but like a brother. At times he was a mentor, always offering words of encouragement. I will truly miss his sense of humor and playfulness and feel fortunate to have known him.
My heart goes out to Bernadette and James's family.

James was such a great friend to all, as he made everyone feel welcome with his personality and cheerful smile. We had such good times and shared important moments with both James and Bernadette. He was supportive of Doug and I as we met and throughout our marriage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I was sadden today to hear of James.
I have not seen him in close to 12 years, but will never forget him. Back in the day when we all played volleyball, drank beer and laughed, James always had the best smile and a good heart. He will be missed.
