John & Kristen Brady
April 14, 2011
As a husband, Jim seemed to be a perfect fit for my sister Maureen. As a father, he did a fantastic job raising Lindsey and David while also being their friend.
Jim was a fun-loving and ridiculously talented man. He was an inspiration to us for the closeness of the family he and Maureen created, the way he passionately pursued his personal and professional goals, the way he shared his time with his parents, and the way he lived his life to the fullest.
I smile when I remember time spent with Jim. We laughed together often, and he brought wit and intelligence to discussions at our family gatherings.
We feel extremely fortunate to have had him as a brother-in-law and a friend, and we will miss him more than words can express.

We will miss our generous and kind friend, and feel lucky that we had so many wonderful memories with him and Mo. He was an amazing artist with a creative spirit and a passion for life. Jim was the most devoted son I have ever met, and he cherished his life with Mo, Lindsey, and David. We are glad that he was part of our life...rest in peace dear Jim...
Love,

James Eugene McDonald; son, brother, husband, father, friend. Loving, caring, compassionate, creative and unselfish to all. He will be missed as we all have a missing piece of our heart. May he rest is peace for he has shrugged the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God.

Mo,Lindsey and Dave,
Jim was probably the most kind hearted man we know. It was our pleasure and honor to call him our friend. We both feel blessed that your family was a part of our lives, and we know we are better because of it. He will be missed deeply, but his smile will remain in our hearts.

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
