Jane Weyrich Obituary

Jane Elinor Weyrich, 95, died peacefully at her home at Westminster Village in Scottsdale, AZ on February 19, 2008. Born in Toledo, Ohio on December 26, 1912, Jane came from a family of musicians, and attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music majoring in piano. She was married to Harry R. Weyrich of Detroit, Michigan for 49 years. Jane and Harry lived in New York, Connecticut, Michigan and Ohio and became residents of Scottsdale in 1978. They were one of the founders of Westminster Village where the healthcare center bears the Weyrich name. Jane has been an active member of Valley Presbyterian Church, on the Board of Westminster Village Foundation, and a volunteer at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. Jane was an active pianist in the Scottsdale area at weddings, the Westminster Village dining room and the Weyrich Health Care Center. Jane is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (William, Jr.) Northlich of Lafayette, CA and Nancy (Millard) Byrne of Columbus, OH; one brother Adrian Kidney of Toledo, OH; five grandchildren, Michael (Wendy) Byrne of Columbus, OH, John (Brooke) Byrne also of Columbus, Laura Byrne of Chicago; William Northlich III of Oakland, CA and Katharine Northlich of New York City; five great grandchildren, Kevin, Sean, Jackson, Kathleen and Jamisen Byrne. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry and two brothers. Jane's family and friends are celebrating her wonderful life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23rd at Westminster Village, 12000 N. 90th Street, Scottsdale, AZ, 85260. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's memory to the Westminster Village Foundation/Assistance Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Mortuary.
