McBride, Jeffrey Ryan
31, passed away November 1, 2008, from complications while undergoing cancer treatment, surrounded by family and friends. Jeff was born in Mesa, AZ on Oct. 7, 1977. He graduated from Mt. View High School and later married his high school sweetheart, Emily Elggren, in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Jeff was a thoughtful, loving, and protective husband to Emily and a wonderful father to 5 year old Carter and 20 month old Kennedy. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an Eagle Scout. At a young age, Jeff had a love for computers and continued that love into his adulthood working as an IT Manager. Jeff was always there to help and continually had a positive attitude even in his struggles with cancer. He knew how to keep life upbeat and entertaining and there was never a dull moment. Jeff is survived by his wife, Emily, son Carter and daughter Kennedy, his parents, Bruce and Jan McBride, sisters, Kori (Blake) Cecil, Kristen (Freeman) Cooley, Katie McBride, father and mother-in-law, Craig and Cheryl Elggren, brother in laws, Jacob and Eric (Ashley) Elggren, sister-in-laws, Amy (Cody) Wilstead, Sarah (Braden) Sheppard, nieces and nephews, grandparents, Norman and Muriel Hancock, Glen and Jeanette McBride, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Jeff was a part of a very supportive and loving extended family. We will all miss him greatly, but know that we will be together again. A visitation will be held Friday, November 7th at the Bunker's University Chapel, 3529 E. University from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Superstition Springs Ward Bldg., 1249 S. 48th Street (on Southern) in Mesa with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at the City of Mesa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a bank account has been set up for the children. Donations can be made payable to "Carter McBride" and sent to P.O.
