59, of Phoenix, passed away on August 4, 2016. I met JoAnn when I was 14 years old and asked her to the sweetheart dance. She wore a yellow flowered dress with bows to match her hair. She was beautiful. By junior year she was my girlfriend. We married at 21 and moved to California for five years. Moving back to Phoenix we started our family and have 4 beautiful, good kids. Life was a whirlwind of family get togethers, kids sports and family vacations, we had a great life. Anyone that knew her also knew that she wasn't the mother of just our kids, but mom to every kid who walked through our door. She loved her children and welcomed their friends, with her generous spirit, into our home as well. There were never too many kids or too much noise as far a she was concerned. We grew up together, she was my best friend, a loving mother, the anchor in our family and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. JoAnn is survived by her husband Bob, sons Daniel Heath and Ryan Heath, daughters Jenna Pessah and her husband Gabe and Natalie Heath, brother Anthony Scuderi, sisters Nina Sutton and Annette Roberts and her parents Tommy and Mary Scuderi. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August
9, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11300 N. 64th Street, Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Family Promise, 7221 E. Belleview Street, #5, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.

Dear Jo Ann ,
You were my friend from so long agp. We started school at St. Thomas together in kindergarten . I have pictures of you and other friends at my 6th birthday. I haven't see you since 8 th grade graduation. All these years I have thought of you often and your wonderful family. We would watch the "Dark Shadows" serial at your house. Your mom would be making fresh pasta in the kitchen. I have such fond memories of your family. Your moms and dad , grandma and grandpa Scuderi, Nina, Anthony and Annette. So sorry for the pain your family must be dealing with. You are always in my heart. Love you, Sue Woznicki Avery❤.

Jo. Like with my Mother I could not sit down immediately & put my thoughts togethe. You made a valiant fight but our Lord had other plans for you. You decided to leave this world on Jenna's birthday. This will be difficult for her yet sharing this date is now another special bond you have with her. Natalie will have her own special challenges going away to college, but Jo you will be in her heart & your spirit will be by her side. Ryan & Daniel are both strong & will be ok because again you are in their hearts. Bob is being very strong & has accepted that you are gone & he made peace with God so he will be ok. Not sure how well his cooking skills are but Ryan is there.We know you will be watching over your family. You remain in our hearts forever & my heart is broken. I no longer have you to share my thoughts, my humor or my one liners with & laugh at them. Thank you for taking over when Anne passed away. You were a critical part of my life & I will miss what we shared so much & now I am lost. You were my Rock JoAnn.I Love You Jo & I will miss you so much. Until we all meet again in Heaven.
