John McNellis Obituary

John (Bill) W. McNellis, 77 of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on May 11, 2003. Born in Kansas City, MO on July 10, 1926. He moved his family to Arizona 27 years ago from Kansas City, MO. He served in the Navy during WWII. He was an investor in many businesses and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Scottsdale. He will forever be in our hearts as a brother, husband, father, grandfather, businessman, mentor and friend. Survivors include daughter, Susan Beyer of Phoenix, AZ; son, Kevin McNellis of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Molly and son-in-law Chad Wimer of Scottsdale, AZ; grandfather of Amber, Brittany, Katie and Garrett all of Scottsdale, AZ; Tiffany of Overland Park, KS; Nicole of Ingleside, IL; great-grandfather of Lauren of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Donna Klehr and Patsy White of Independence, MO and Jean Rhodes of Oxnard, CA. John is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara McNellis; son, Drew; and brother, Larry. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd.,
Scottsdale, AZ, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with a Scripture Service starting at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 15, 2003 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 10815 N. 84th Street, Scottsdale, AZ, at 9:00 AM with burial to follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 9034 N. 23rd Ave., #8, Phoenix, AZ 85021. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm
upon your face, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Love your family.
