Kay Ann Ruth (Purdy)

Gilbert - Kay touched many lives throughout her 25 years in Teaching. Her smile shined bright and her eyes sparkled with excitement. She taught for 25 years at Barcelona Jr. High, Snowflake High School and Show Low High School. Oh my heck!!!! I am just now seeing this celebration of life post for Kay... I will always remember her , she spent lots of hours after class doing work with me! Bill Ruth... I have NEVER forgotten YOU!!! I was the biggest cry baby forever but I turned out ok! I never made it back to your class to return a box of tissues to you that you always had so laughingly ready for me when I came to class! I have often wondering how and where you all were. Hugs to you and yours.
Kay will certainly be missed.
sincerely,
Angie Turner Erickson (87 I think) its been a hot minute.

I just learned, today, of Mrs. Ruth's passing. She was my freshman English teacher in Snowflake in 1977-78. She forever changed the way I looked at our language and how we can best communicate. I'd looked for her over the years, but was unable to find her. I wanted to let her know of the influence she had on me. I so wish I could have repaid her for the knowledge she gave me. Just a great teacher and equally great human being. Thank you for the memories. God-Speed, Mrs. Ruth--you're not gone as long as you're remembered!

Mrs Ruth....a teacher who cared for each child individually. I was blessed to be one of those children and will never forget her compassion and love for others. True example to follow as we journey through this life.
