Kenneth Allen Sowell

Phoenix, Arizona - Kenneth Allen Sowell, 64, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 in a Phoenix hospital after a brief illness.

Born May 26, 1956 in Monterey Park, California, he moved with his family to Phoenix in 1972 from Hacienda Heights. Known as Rocky or Rocket to his friends, Kenneth graduated from Paradise Valley High School in 1975 and attended classes at Scottsdale Community College. He worked in sales across multiple disciplines.

Kenneth was a fan of music, old TV shows and Turner Classic Movies. With his keen memory, he could recall birthdates and facts about actors and musicians across the decades. He was an early fan of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. He also enjoyed writing songs, playing harmonica, and singing in a local group, Contraband. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine. He is survived by his father, Ralph; sisters Sherida (Randy) and Kelly, Aunt Nancy (Richard) and their daughter Julia (Scott).
