I had the good fortune to know Leroy Dunn for about fifty years. He was my fourth grade teacher at the old Isaac School (when I first heard the famous, "No, I'm Dunn -- you're finished"). As an adult, I, too, became a teacher in the Isaac School District. I spent my whole career at P.T. Coe, so I never had Leroy as my principal. However, we shared experiences in other district activities over the years. He will be missed.

Grew up in the same neaborhood and knew Mr.Dunn in passing, what stands out in my memory is I had heard a great deal of Mr. Dunn and all who spoke of him always did so with respect.

I remember being in his office one time as a first grader(1962), that was enough he wasn't mean but got his point across. Neat man
