My dear Virginia,
How saddened I was to hear of the death of your dear Al. He was a wonderful husband and family man and I am so glad to have known him. I just wish those times could have been more often. Please know my love and thoughts are with you. There will be lonly days ahead but I know the precious memories of your life together will keep him close. And that is a beautiful blessing.

Dear Mike and Family
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father. What a full and long life he had! He was indeed one of the Greatest Generation...
Best wishes

As a classmate of son Mike in FBI NAC 80-5, my wife and I had the privilege of hosting a dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Fain (and Mike) during a visit to the DC area. He was both humble and gracious, and considered his service to his country a mission happily accepted. He was a true representative of the "greatest generation," and it was an honor to consider him a friend and patriot. Our deepest sympathies to Ginny and the family. Max Fratoddi, 80-5.

Mike & family...In reading Mr. Fain's obituary, I realized he was the example of the 'greatest generation'. He served his country in war and came home and served his country in the FBI. He gave of himself in retirement by volunteering in his community. Mr. Fain, thank you for your service to our country. Linda Crowder, Class 80-5.

To the Fain family, he was such a wonderful family man and I know he completed you as a family. He will be sorely missed. I will never forget the wonderful times in Rocky Point and the chili suppers. May all the memories keep you strong. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
