Loren Russell Obituary
64, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on February 24, 2017. Loren is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Carver Russell and two brothers, Vernon and Marvin Russell. A Visitation will be held from 3-7 PM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Memorial Hall, 9849 East Earl Drive, Scottsdale, Arizona. A Graveside Service will begin at 9:00 AM, Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Lower Santan Day School Cemetery, SR 87 & Santan Day School Road, Santan, Arizona. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc. (602) 276-3601. To the Russell Family,
I grew up with Loren at Morningside Presbyterian Church. We attended Youth Group / College Group together. In the process we went on retreats and prayed together many times. I remember playing catch on the Morningside Softball Team with Loren; he threw the ball hard and straight; he was quite an athlete! Through it all I always felt blessed by Loren's friendship and his love for the Lord. Sadly, our paths took us elsewhere over the years and in the process I lost contact with Loren. I will never forget Loren. When he spoke people listened. He was gentle and kind; he respected and loved everyone and most importantly Loren will be remembered by those who knew him best as a mighty man of God.

Wishing you peace, grace and love in your time of sorrow. I was a student at Alhambra High School - and surely recall Mr. Russell's influence in our younger years. After that time, I was so pleased to run into him, playing the flute. Always a force in the lives of others - he will be missed in the many communities that he touched.

Sorry for your loss - wishing peace, love and grace to comfort your family. Mr. Russell was a respected part of Alhambra High School during my years there. I so enjoyed seeing him play the flute many years ago - still such a wonderful presence in the lives of others.
