Margaret Wolf Obituary

Margaret Wolf

- - Margaret Wolf, 93, passed away on February 14, 2018. She is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a goddaughter, a daughter-in-law and son-in-law who cared for her greatly. German immigrants, she and Grandpa initially settled in Michigan then moved to Arizona after their granddaughters were born. They lived in a house they loved and diligently cared for the beautiful trees and flowers in their yard. Grandma enjoyed baking as well as hosting hearty dinners for her family, cooking was definitely her love language. We'll never know the secret to her goulash, her fried chicken or her hazelnut torte, she'd offhandedly list the ingredients but was vague about what she did to make it taste so good. Grandma never understood why her family chose to drive into the woods and sleep in anything other than a house, nor would she ever, ever don a swimsuit to join in their pool parties. Her family found her stubbornness endearing. Always a teetotaler, she fit in at her family's parties as there was often an opportunity for her to play her harmonica or get in on a dice or card game (and she had a fantastic poker face). She loved a cute dog and couldn't resist slipping snacks to them. Grandma recalled fond memories of living in Michigan and working at, then retiring from, Midland High School. We miss her terribly.
