Melissa Hanson Obituary
Phoenix - Melissa Lynn Hanson, age 40, of Phoenix, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020. She was born on September 7, 1979 to Terry Lee and Sandra Lee (Christensen) Hanson in Omaha, NE. She attended Abraham Lincoln High School graduating class of 1997. On December 8, 2000, she married Michael C. Jordan in Council Bluffs, IA. Melissa worked as an Insurance Underwriter for Chubb International. She enjoyed laughing, living for each day, drinking wine, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Wizard of Oz, cuddling occasionally with her husband, sarcastic t-shirts, and just life in general. Melissa is survived by her loving spouse of 19 years, Michael; and many MANY other loving family and friends. Her mother, Sandra, preceded her in death in 2018. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melissa's honor may be made to the ASPCA or a Kidney Donation organization of your choice. Online condolences can be given at www.shadowmountainmortuary.com.
