Melvin Rogers was an instructor at Mesa Community College institute - he did a great job. He also turned out to be a distant relative. All good wishes to the family at this time.

How grateful we are that we shared a portion of our journey in life with Melvin Rogers -- he was dedicated to the Lord and blessing the lives of many young people, including ours. He strengthened the testimonies of many with his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the restoration of His gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. We extend our love and condolences to his family and loved ones.

To the Rogers' family,
How I loved your Dad!! He opened my eyes to the love of the scriptures while I attended MCC. I knew they were true but until I attended his class and saw how they came to life and how important they were...I will forever credit him for my love of the Book of Mormon. It wasn't until the last day of the class that he told me we were related. My prayers are with you at this time. May God bless you all.

I want to wish you my love for having known Mel for many years. I moved to Mesa in 1962 and worked with him on the High Council for several years. And have known and associated with him over the passing years. He will be missed by all.
