Michael McCormick Obituary

Dr. Michael Loren McCormick passed away on Tuesday, De- cember 16. He was born 79 years ago in Culbertson, Montana and spent his life giving to others. He was a veteran, an educator, a coach and a businessman. His favorite title was "Head of the Family". He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by Eleanor, his loving wife of 57 years and his sister, Virginia. He leaves behind a tremendous legacy in his nine children, Larry, Jerry, Tom, Kaye, Sheila, Pat, Julie, Cathie, Linda and their spouses. He has 20 beautiful grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 23 at 10:30 AM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 West Thunderbird Road. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in his name to the Mission of Mercy, c/o John. Olson, P.O. Box 2152, Scottsdale, AZ 85252-9755.

I regret that I was unable to attend Mike's service as I am presently out-of-state. I've known Mike since l966 when I joined the staff of AEA. He has always been a good friend and will be fondly remembered.

Mike was one of the finest persons we have known. We always remember collecting signatures for him to run for Supt. of Public Inst. in 122 degress weather in June. He leaves a legacy of good friends and a great family, which he was very proud of. He will be missed.
