Morris M. Zegerson

Morris M. Zegerson was born in Russia and lived in Pittsburgh, from 1921 until 1975. He moved to Phoenix, AZ until 1998, then resided in Laguna Hills, CA for two years. Morris was a graduate of Duquesne University Pharmacy School in
Pittsburgh, PA, then opened Greenfield Pharmacy, 1100 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA (He was in business for 35 years). He was President and member of Galen Pharmaceutical Society and a member of Allegheny County Pharmacy Association in Pittsburgh. Morris was member of Pennsylvania Pharmacy Association until 1975 and a treasurer of Duquesne Pharmacy Alumni Association for several years. He was a member of Maricopa County Pharmacy Association, Arizona Pharmacy Association, a life member of Zionist Organization of America, Masons Brotherhood Lodge of Pittsburgh, PA, Masons, Arizona Lodge #2 of Phoenix, AZ. He was the director of Alpha Zeta Omega Pharmacy Fraternity in Phoenix and was a Board Member of Beth El Synagogue and Usher Chairman for 3 years. He volunteered for the library as translator of Yiddish Books Cataloging. He was treasurer of Jewish National Fund, Greater Arizona Council from 1987-1990. He was a life member of Na'Amat (Kinneret Chapter) with his wife in Phoenix, AZ. Morris worked as a volunteer in various pharmacy hospitals. He is survived by his son Harry Zegerson and four grandchildren, Yosef and Aryeh Schwartz and Daniel and Marlissa Zegerson. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 22 at 12:00 PM, Beth El Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ in Phoenix.
