Anderson, Peter Hobart
Peter Hobart Anderson, 58 of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on June 25th while hiking Pinnacle Peak Mountain. Pete was admired for his generosity, conviction, and humor. He cherished and maintained many long-time friendships. Pete loved history, music, and spending time in nature. He worked in the natural products industry for over 25 years. Pete grew up in Rockford, IL. Pete is preceded in death by parents Alan H. and Anne S. Anderson. He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Anderson and siblings, John Anderson and Barbara Anderson Carruthers and their families, and his girlfriend, Kay Storm. A sunset service will be held at 6:45 pm on Saturday, July 10th at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Gateway Amphitheater in Scottsdale Arizona. Services will also be held in Fontana, WI for Rockford friends on the same day. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of Pinnacle Peak Park, www.pinnaclepeakpark.com/donations.asp and the McDowell Sonoran Conservacy, c/o Peter Anderson Memorial, 16435 North Scottsdale Rd, Suite 110, Scottsdale AZ 85254.

I met Pete when he was working for Weider Health and Fitness. I have a fond memories of him during those years. Pray that God will give his family the strength they need during the time of grief. He will be missed.

Pete and I were best of friends during most of high school. I have great memories of our times spent together, especially during the summer of 1969 as we approached our senior year. Young Life Camp in Co., and great times together in Pete's blue V.W. I'm so glad I knew you. I'll miss you Pete -
