Peter Ludwig Obituary
79, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on October 11, 2016. Peter was born and raised in Mukwonago,Wisconsin. Peter was the second of four children born to Emil F. and Ethel M. (Holz) Ludwig. A long time resident of Phoenix, Peter and his family moved to the valley in 1973. Peter was an engineer for Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector, he retired in 1999. Peter was a Big Band musician. Peter played the saxophone for the Motorola Dance Band and Sentimental Swing Orchestra. Preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Mary A. Ludwig and brother James F. Ludwig. Survived by his son Stephen P. Ludwig, daughter Sheryl L. (Ludwig) McCaleb, three grandchildren Kilee L. McCaleb, Russell H. McCaleb III "Mac", and Hannah S. Ludwig. Peter is also survived by his sister Joan M. Ludwig, three nieces, five nephews and many other cherished relatives and friends. Celebration of life will be held at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church (Chapel), 25150 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85255 on November 12, 2016 at 2:00PM with a reception to follow featuring the Sentimental Swing Orchestra, a sincere tribute to Peter. Internment at Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pinnacle Presbyterian Church and/or Music Department.

We must practice social distancing due to the globally contracted Coronavirus. It is a very life threatening illness. You are in the best place of anyone. Happy Father's Day dear Dad! Today is the day we celebrate you! Thank you for being my Dad and especially thank you for always being your true self. Your angelic presence is very inspiring, thank you.
Play your music and celebrate Fatherhood with all the Jims' whom have joined you this year. I will be tuned in, listening and celebrating with you too.
Your a Great-Grandson will soon be one! I know you have been up there just giggling and tickled just watching him and his farming environment this year. At 7 months he was driving a new John Deere tractor with his Daddy. I know you have tears of joy for him and are in aww... with what he will experience. Many say he is a Ludwig!
