Phillip Hagstrom Obituary
Scottsdale - Phillip Hagstrom, 82, passed away peacefully in Texas surrounded by his family. Born in Massachusetts, he joined the USAF as an aviation tech, serving in both Europe and the USA!
After college, he joined Speary Corp, which brought his family out with him to his beloved Arizona, where his career in semi-conductors flourished and he advanced to V.P. of Honeywell Flight Systems. Phil was very proud of his technical work utilized on all of the space shuttles!
Phil is greatly missed by his wife, four grown children, two daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nephew and many friends.
Memorial service Nov. 13, at 10:20 a.m. at National Cemetery, off Cave Creek & Pinnacle Peake Roads, with celebration of life to follow.

I worked for Sperry Flight Systems under Phil. I really liked and respected Phil. One remembrance of Phil was around 1988 when Phil visited Gulfstream in Savannah, Ga. I was living in Savannah supporting the development of the SPZ-8000 system on the G450 at that time. May Phil RIP.

Phil was my upper level boss at Sperry Flight Systems. I really like Phil and he will be missed.

I worked with Phil upon my transferring into Microelectronics Packaging during the Space Shuttle development at Sperry Flight Systems. Phil was a highly intelligent engineer respected by anyone that knew him. It was my pleasure to work beside him and for him during my years in Microelectronics. He was a great mentor and good friend and I will miss him. May he rest in peace.
