Phyllis Lawson Obituary
passed away on September 22, 2010. She was born on October 14, 1942 in Bartlesville, OK. She moved to Amarillo, TX with her family in 1947 where whe lived for 20 years. In 1966, she met and married Denis Lawson in Amarillo. They moved to Denver CO and started their beautiful 44 year relationship. They moved to Shawnee, Mission, KS in 1975 Where they lived for 5 years. They returned to the Denver area and lived there until 2002 when they came to Phoenix. Phyllis was a wonderful spouse, mother, homemaker and friend. She was so giving of herself and people loved being with her. Her special gift was making everyone feel comfortable and welcome in her life. Her daily deeds of unselfishness made those around her so very happy. In return, her joy and happiness was derived from doing so many things for others. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 43 years, Denis Lawson, sons David Lawson and Douglas Lawson all of Phoenix. Also survived by her beloved brother, Richard Fox of Boulder, CO and his family of 7 daughters and 1 son, along with 28 cousins, nephews and nieces. Services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Bueler Mortuary 14 W. Hulet Dr. Chandler, AZ. 85225. Family visiting will begin at noon. Graveside services will follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery 10940 E. Chandler, Heights Rd. Chandler, AZ 85248. Donations in her honor can be made to Meals on Wheels, 1500 S. Mill Ave. Tempe, AZ. 85281
