Robert McComber Obituary
42, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on July 22, 2011. Andy was born in Davenport, IA to Bob and Ruth McComber on October 2, 1968. Andy graduated from St. Theresa School, Gerard Catholic High School and Northern Arizona University. He was employed as a technician with Gordon-Darby. Andy is survived by his parents, his sister Julie, son Jacob, 17, daughter Karli, 21 and their mother Katinka Smith and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who love him dearly and will greatly miss his smile and wit. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 29th, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6180 W. Utopia Rd, Glendale, with reception following at the family home. Memorials can be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 420 W. Watkins Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85003 or the family

My name is Mike Lemons,I also worked with Andy at Gordon Darby as a Technician. I would just like to say that Andy was my friend and I'm saddened to find out about the loss of his life. Its truly awful to hear that Andy's life was cut so short. I was proud to be a teammate of Andy's in high school football and a good friend in college. Andy was a super athlete and a fiercely loyal friend. Prayers to the family. So sorry for your loss.

My prayers are with Andy's family. Andy was a year behind me at St. Theresa's and Gerard. Andy always had a smile on his face and was fun to be around. He will be greatly missed.

Very sad news to hear. I was in Andy's 1986 Gerard Catholic High School graduating class. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I used to work with Ruth in my past job so my special thoughts to her and her family. Please let me know if you need anything.

I knew Andy and his sister Julie from Gerard. I haven't spoken or seen him for years. I remember him as one of the most sincere people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. He cared deeply for his younger sister and always was a class act. My deepest condolences to his family, most especially his children. God Bless you all.
