beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, coworker, and friend passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, age 63. Barry was a loving husband and family man first, as well as a sports enthusiast and a passionate businessman. He was born on June 23, 1946 in Painesville, Ohio to Robert Barry Tillotson Sr. and Frances E. Mantle Tillotson. His interests growing up included baseball, football, and excelling in his academics at Riverside High School (1964) in Painesville, OH. He was voted "Most Athletic" and was a member of the National Honor Society. He attended Ohio University on a baseball scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (1968) and Master of Business Administration (1969). He was also a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Barry began his career with Dow Corning Corporation in 1969. He furthered his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in a specialized program for Senior Executives in November 1985. His various job positions ranged from sales, marketing, and management to an executive position enabling Barry to travel the world. Much of his career was based out of the Midland, MI corporate headquarters for Dow Corning where Barry raised his family, coached multiple years of Little League, enjoyed golfing, driving his sports cars, and playing cards. He retired in 2001 to Arizona after 32 years with Dow Corning and resided in Queen Creek for the past 3 years. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, walking his Doberman, watching sporting events, and camping. Barry will be forever loved and missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vicki Tillotson, and sisters-in-law Donna Smith Tripi and Carol Adams. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gay; daughter Gretchen L. Tillotson Teaney and son-in-law Job Teaney; son Robert Barry Tillotson III "B.J." and daughter-in-law Malani Tillotson; brother Paul Tillotson; sister Janis Martin; grandchildren Brittany M. Teaney, Jonathan L. Teaney, Robert Barry Tillotson IV "Robbe", Poppy Mae Tillotson; and step-grandchildren Shane and Colton Hostenske. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, April 17, 2010, 2:00pm at Velda Rose United Methodist Church, 5540 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85205.
