Finch, Rosalie Ruth
83, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on Jan 3, 2012. She was born in Charleston, IL on Aug 20, 1928 to Howard and Ruth (Stoner) Bolin. At age 16 in Granite City, IL, she had her own dancing school where she taught ballet and tap. She gave recitals at the high school and graduated from there in 1945. She married Carl Graham in 1948 and had a daughter, Cherie. They later divorced. In the late 1940's and early 1950's, she appeared in Muny Opera productions in St. Louis, sang on a radio station, had her own TV cooking show and traveled with the Wayne King Orchestra as a dancer and singer. In 1954, she married Robert B. Budde and had 3 children (Lisa, Susan and Bob). While residing in St. Louis, she had a dancing school in Staunton, IL, and gave recitals at Livingston HS. In 1959, she and her family moved to Lincoln, NE. She appeared in musical comedies at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. Her husband, Robert, passed away in 1981 and she later moved to Merriam, KS, a suburb of Kansas City. In 1987, she married Eric Finch. They resided in rural New Douglas, IL until 1993 when Eric passed away. She then moved back to KC where she sang with a band at various venues as well as nursing homes. She moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 2003. Rosalie was an animal and nature lover. She was also a very exuberant, outgoing and kind-hearted person with a great sense of humor. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
Survivors include daughters - Cherie (Graham) Kuhn of New Douglas, IL, Lisa (Budde) Lauby and Susan Budde, both of Scottsdale, AZ, three grandsons - Mike Kuhn of Valrico, FL, James and David Wasson of Lincoln, NE, and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert B. Budde in 1981 and Eric Finch in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert H. Budde in 1997 and great granddaughter, Tatum Wasson in 2001. A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held at Camelback Christian Church at 6235 E. Camelback Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 at 1:00 on
Sunday, 1/8/12. Arrangements are entrusted to Messinger Mortuary in Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Rosalie's honor to the Arizona Humane Society.
