One of the greatest memories that I will cherish forever about Ryan is the weekends he spent helping us landscape our backyard. Without Ryan this would never have happened. Now, when I walk out into the backyard it is a constant reminder of what a talented person Ryan really was and that he would go out of his way to help others. I considered Ryan one of my best friends, and I will always remember

him.

I only met Ryan a few times but he was a great man. He enriched the lives of his wife and child and all those who met him. He was like a candle in the wind. Ryan you will be missed.

Ryan was such an easygoing man. Whenever we were in the midst of chaos at our campsites he was always calm. He also never lost his temper. I hold him in the highest regards. God is lucky to have a man like Ryan at his side.

One of my favorite memories-spoons-camping buddies will relate! I remember everyone "planning" their seat around the table to have the perfect spot for a spoon. There really wasn't a perfect spot because Ryan could reach across the table! There was scratching, elbowing, slapping and MANY bent spoons.....there was also laughter and joy and happiness and that is what Ryan brought with him everywhere he went-laughter, joy and happiness........our thoughts and prayers are with Paula and Shaunna........We love you!

Paula,

We just wanted to say how much the memorial ment to us. Hearing you talk about Ryan made us wish that we knew him better before he left. He really seemed like a wonderful man, and you could really see it last night with everyone who showed up. We love you and hope that if you ever need anything please let us know.

I only got the chance to be around Ryan a few times, but in those few times I knew that he was one of the most wonderful people that I would ever meet. Paula I love you so much and I wish that we did not live so far away from each other so that I could visit a little more. You are a wonderful mother and I know that Shauna has a great life ahead of her, dispite all she has been through. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need anything at all, even though I am far away. I love you guys.

Dear Paula and Shaunna,

We are so sorry that Ryan did not win his fight with Leukemia. What a brave man Ryan was to fight as hard as he did to live. He obviously loved you both very much. So sorry for your loss.

Love,

Andy and Jill

It seems that I've known Ryan my whole life. I guess since kindergarten is close enough. Thinking of him when we were in grade school always makes me smile. He had a "puppy love" crush on my girlfriend, so just like any other icky boy - the only way to show your affection is to make their life miserable and be the biggest, most annoying pain in the butt that you can be! He would wait for us outside of her back fence just so he could spin rocks & dirt all over us before school. Oh how he terrorized us on his bike. I also remember that even at a really young age, he always had tinkeritis. He had some of the best custom bikes I've ever seen. They were really, really nice. I also remember trick-or-treating to his home and Rita invited us in to see a track that he & his dad built. I don't remember if it was a car or train track but it was incredible. It had trees and landscaping and a whole bunch of figurines. I was amazed. As he grew up and matured he found a new love & couldn't have made a better choice. Paula's been really good for him & I could see that he was truly happy (hmmm...another one of my girlfrinds). He will be missed by all the people he's had an impact on. Even though I wasn't very close to him as an adult, it's really hard to lose a childhood friend, but the memories are comforting.

Ryan was my first son-in-law and I was proud to call him that. I sure hope he didn't think he had the worst mother-in-law in the world! Ryan will be greatly missed and I promise to do my best to keep his memory alive reminding his special little joy, Shaunna about what a good man he was and how much he loved her. Paula, you know Mom is always here for you. Love you both. Mom
