Samuel "Sammy" Doom Jr.

Samuel Doom Obituary

Samuel "Sammy" Doom Jr., passed away December 24, 2002 at 58 years of age after an extended illness. Samuel leaves a loving wife of 35 years, Vicki Lee Doom, a daughter Elena Marie, a son Samuel Doom III, four brothers and one sister: Dan Doom of Wickenburg, Dennis Doom of Tempe, Don Doom, Lottie Lopez and Robert Doom all of Chandler. Sammy was born on Jan 23, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ and grew up in Congress, AZ; he attended Congress School and was a 1962 graduate of Wickenburg High School. He also attended NAU and Phoenix College. He married Vicki Lee Moore of Wickenburg on Feb. 15, 1967 and was a retired
employee of 24 years from the Standard Oil Company. Sammy was the son of Sam and Esther Doom and grew up in the Congress and Wickenburg area where his family were well known residents. He
was quick witted with a comeback for any situation and was fun to be around with
a comical personality. He started a hobby of coin collecting at an early age and continued this interest throughout his lifetime. He will be sorely missed by all his
family though we know he has a heavenly home and will be relieved of the pain that tried to steal his joy during the past few years. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Friday, December 27, 2002 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Rd. Funeral Services will be 11am, Saturday, December 28 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church,
3801 E. Greenway Ave.
