Scott Carr Obituary

Scott James Carr of Peoria, died August 3, 2008. Carr was born April 21, 1969, to Jerry and Lydia Carr. A native of Phoenix, he attended both elementary and high school in the Valley. Carr enjoyed working with his hands and was a "closet" artist who loved to draw. He had the gift of being able to make people smile and would always go to great lengths to help those who needed it. Carr went through life with a positive attitude. When given lemons, he made lemonade. And although, often times, the odds were against him, he strove to make others happy. Along with the birth of his children, Scott's most memorable day was July 19, 2008. It was this day he married his best friend and soul mate - Sharon - who over the past two years helped him embrace friends and family, mend fences and experience the meaning of unconditional love. Carr is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Monique, Scott Jr., Vincent, Miranda and Madison; granddaughter, Lexi Cordero; father, Jerry; "Grandmother Effie;" brother Jerry Jr.; stepchildren, Justin Wirth and Nichole Lee; and a host of relatives. A memorial services will be held for Carr at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, at East Phoenix Church of God, 2945 N. 18th Place in Phoenix. The Reverend Billy Rains will officiate.

We was really disturbed to hear about the loss of Scott. He and my sister Carla were really good friends and the more they hung out together, the more we got to know him. Scott left us with alot of memories that we will cherish and will continue to be with us in our hearts, our thoughts and in our daily life.
I watched him grow from a little boy to the handsome man that he became, who had a wonderful smile that would charm anyone he came into contact with. One couldn't help but to be happy around him, as he was full of life. As he said to me, "Nita, if I can't live life the way I want to then I'm not living, cause you only live life once and thats it." "People may not like the way I live my life, but at least I'm having fun and thats living. I'll deal with the consequences later" he laughed.
After all said and done that is what Scott did. He lived life cause there may not be a tomorrow. Scott was a wonderful person who will be missed dearly, he may be gone, but he will not be forgotten. My family and I will share memories of the last 30 years and we will miss him not popping his head in the door and start talking away. No matter what he said you can always be sure it will make everyone laugh. He was always smiling and you couldn't help but to smile too.
You will always be
"Chug-A-Boo" to us. When you see our sister Jerrie tell her we love her and miss her too.

I have SO many memories growing up with Scott. During the family get togethers, we were unseperable to the point I BEGGED to stay the night with him and Jerry. As we got older, we lived our lives, conquered our battles and LOVED our families. Scotts memory is with so many because he touched so many hearts. I am glad I had the opprotunity to share the most special time, when he got married to Sharon, with him. I love you my brother and now you and your mom can take care and watch over us. Your cousin...

Sharon - My heart aches for you during your time of sorrow. Of all the treasures you have, your memories with Scott are the most precious. Have faith that you now have another "Special Angel" watching over you - you have 2 handsome men guiding and protecting you.

"As I was walking down the street one day ... you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way in life."

May the love of your friends and family carry you through your grief. I love you and am here for you whenever you need me - doesn't matter time of day/night.
