Sheryl Ann Calcavecchia

Sun Lakes - Sheryl Ann Calcavecchia died on March 19, 2019 after a long illness. She was born on February 12, 1958 in Rochester, MN. She is survived by her daughter Britney (T.J.) Amato; her son Eric Calcavecchia; her mother Barbara Danielson; her father Dale Timm; her sister Bette Timm; special friends and caretakers Drake Oddy and Bette Hargrave; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Greg Timm, her step-father Dan Danielson, and her step-mother Jean Timm.

Sheryl always had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. Growing up, her spunkiness earned her the nickname "Trouble". She graduated from high school in Owatonna, MN and then attended beauty school. Along with working as a beautician in Colorado, Minnesota and Arizona, she was also an aerobics teacher for a few years. Later on, she managed several restaurants in Alaska and Arizona.

Throughout her life, Sheryl traveled all over the world and especially loved Australia and Switzerland. She was also extremely fond of animals, especially labs. With her exuberant personality, everyone always considered Sheryl the "life of the party". She was such a happy and fun person who made friends with others instantly. Sheryl's strong faith in God helped her through difficult times. She will be greatly missed by her relatives, countless friends and her dog Harlee.

Dale and Family, My family and I heard of Sheryls passing about a week ago in the typical Owatonna way. We ran into a classmate of hers at the Mike Hanson Memorial washerboard tournament at the Eagles. Dale u would have known half the people there. Not only was Mike remembered, but his mother Pat Hanson has just passed and Rita DeWerd and Sheryl to. I always am happy to hear the stories that generations of football players tell about my Dad. Please know that Owatonna remembers their own and that u are in many peoples thoughts and prayers. May the Lord hold you and your family in his hands at this difficult time.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard of Sheryl's passing. She was a neighbor in Owatonna and in my daughter's class. After school lot's of times she would stop with Diane and have cookies. She would call me Mom. I have several good memories , family gatherings, weddings in Minnesota and Arizona. She always had a smile and will be deeply missed. She is now in the arms of God.

When we first met 41 years ago our souls instantly connected. We had great and fun adventures over the years. You came to Bequia to be my maid of honor at my wedding. All the fun places Barrett Jackson Galas, trips to Sedona, Rock Point, US Open Golf, 1000 Islands and Rock in Rio with Eric in Las Vegas. Oh, and who can forget your numerous trips to our Hobby Farm in Ohio and Lake House in MN.

You had weekly visits to our home in Scottsdale cooking, viewing the mountains, ATV rides and on all these occasions we loved and laughed with each other.

Most of all thank you for being at my side when my daughter Tina passed away suddenly. I could have not made it through that time without your love and support.

I will miss you deeply everyday of my life . I will love you forever your soul friend.

Although we did not keep in contact over the years, Sheryl always had a special place in my heart. She was my very first friend in Kasson, MN And I remember sleep overs and many fun times together. We loved that our names were the exact same Sheryl Ann and we even had the same last initial so our SAT initials were the same too. Sheryl was fun, spunky and kind! Rest In Peace my friend. So sorry for your loss!
