Stephen Adkins Obituary

Adkins, Stephen Lloyd
65 of Ahwatukee, Arizona, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. He was born in St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, California on June 3, 1946. He is survived by his beloved wife Laura, sons Tyler, Jake, Casey; his sister Jeanne; his pets Dash, Jessie; his salt water fish and his singing collection of beautiful canaries. His youth was spent in the Sunset District of San Francisco and upon graduation from high school; Steve took a job with Delta Airlines despite his young age. He purchased "The Lariat" which still is a neighborhood pub in Belmont and became a landlord of an apartment building, where he gained experience to later become a handyman and also where he met and married the love of his life, Laura. After Tyler's birth the family relocated to Arizona, where they have resided for the past 19 years and where they became active parents in all of the local activities for kids. "Steve's The Handyman" business became Steve's work of choice, along with his coaching kids' teams and volunteer work with his church. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Foothills Baptist Church, 15450 S. 21 St., Phoenix, AZ. Contributions may be made to TEEN CHALLENGE AND KLOVE.
