Steve was a good friend to me for many reasons. He was very intellegent and easy to talk with and seemed to always know how to make sense out of the things we talked about. His biggest impact on me was sharing of his love of the outdoors. We crosscountry skied, sailed, camped, hiked and biked. Things I would not have done on my own, and I have done a great deal of it since. Most of my memories of my younger years are of trips and adventures that I would never had done if not for Steve. My life not only would have been less fullfilling, but certainly would have been more boring. He influenced me so much and am thankful to call him a friend. I will certainly miss him.

I knew Steve while he was still in the Detroit area. He was such a good friend, a good person, that you could always count on. He was always there to lend a hand, give some good advice. We both followed our career paths in nursing. I know the world was a better place because Steve was in it, taking care of others. Rest in peace, my friend, until we meet again.
