Steven Voorhees Obituary
Phoenix - Steven Lee Voorhees, 69, born Jan. 1949, in Hyannis Mass., died March 26, 2018 in Phoenix, Az. Former Royal Oak, Mi. and Venice, Fl., resident, graduated Venice High School, served in the U.S Army. Steve, attended ASU, was a Bus Operator for Phoenix Transit System, was the editor of the Sun Traveler, and ATU Local 1433 Officer. Steve wanted all the ladies that missed their opportunity with him to know he owned a "Dyson Vacuum ". Steve was an exceptional person and it was a privilege to have him as a brother/friend. His many longtime friendships are a testament to the character that we love, he will be with us forever. He is survived by brother George "Bud", sister Bessie Walmsely, special friends, Leo and Brenda Arendt, 4 nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Inez Voorhees, and brother Lee. A Memorial Service is scheduled for May 25, 2018, at 9:30 am, at the National Memorial Cemetery, located at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, Az.

We had a lot of good times with Steve, he will be greatly missed. At least now he is resting peacefully.

I will miss Steve's quick wit, I loved reading his write-ups. I'll miss his hugs and kind words. I'll miss him joining our family gatherings and eating at Times Square. Miss you Mr Steve, you will always be in our memories. Love you Bucko!
