I also swam with Stu. The water polo workouts were the worst! When I would see Stu in the halls at Jefferson H.S. he would always flash his unforgettable smile. Realize, this was before Crest Whitening Strips. Man, he was so good looking! What a sad loss. May the God of hope give his family and friends peace and comfort. 2 Thess. 2:16&17.

Stu was one class ahead of me in high school and we were on the same swim team together. I always envied his talent. I looked up to him. I would like to express my sympathy to his daughters and his family. I know that he will be greatly missed.

To the Nechanicky Family, I knew of Stu, through my brother Troy and from Jeff N., who I swam with at Jefferson. I also heard about his swimming successes. My thoughts and Prayers are with you. When earth-time is complete he will be there welcoming you with out-stretched arms.

To the Nechanicky Family... I went to Jefferson High School and Stu was a couple years ahead of me. He had an amazing group of friends. Everyone really liked Stu and he had a name you'd never forget. There was something special about him. It was quite apparent... I think everyone believes there is a special place in Heaven for him. ~ My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. God bless.

Dear Stu - It's been many years since our paths crossed. My most vivid memories of you take me back to Taft Junior High, and thinking of you pumping out 400's during our three undefeated track seasons. We drifted our separate ways when we went to high school, but be assured you will always hold a place in my memory. May all your family and friends find strength and peace in this difficult time. God Bless your soul!

WITH ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT, I am saddened to hear of the news of your father and a friend, he was a great guy! He was like a brother to me in High School, we were in sports together and ran the streets to it’s fullest (we were just young boys). I remember hanging out with Stu after a close call in High School, We said then he had an angel watching over him, we look back knowing God had a purpose for Stu and blessed him with two daughters to love and cherish.I know he was a great loving father. One thing I know we will all especially remember is his smile and his laugh! We were all blessed to have had him in our lives, and know he will be smiling down on us !
May god bless Stu and his family,

I was lucky to have known Stu... growing up, I have very fond memories of the Scouting trips and campouts that we went on as a member of Boy Scout Troop 29. Later on, in High School, Stu and I re-kindled our friendship on the J-Hawk Swim Team, of which I have alot of fond memories. I'd like to express my sincere sympathies to Stu's Family and Friends. He will be greatly missed.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am still shocked and saddened by the news about my cousin Stu. The comments in this Guest Book and the newspaper interview with Ashlee remind all of us of what presence and gifts he shared so fully in living. May his family and friends be strengthened by those memories.

Just over a week has passed and my heart is still and always will be with the Nechanicky family. Stuart was a great man and will be deeply missed. Stu was a year ahead of me at Jefferson and we were on the swim team together. I remember his laugh and his smile and his intense spirit with fondness. I remember him as a good person back then. And from what I have read in this guest book he grew into a good man who worked hard and loved his family very much. I am deeply saddened to hear about his death and I pray for his family and friends that he leaves behind. May God grant each of you comfort in the years to come. And may you always cherish the many many warm memories that you surely have made together. Gone too soon from here but never forgotten. May you find eternal peace, comfort, and rest in the Lord.

Ashlee and Amber,
You both were too young to remember the brief visit that I and my son, Hunter had at your parents home. I remember your father picking us up at the airport and he had the biggest smile on his face. It was evident that he liked to talk, because he chatted the whole drive to your home. It was a pleasant but short visit, but I do have photos that I took. Your father, mother and you two girls were a lovely family. I thank you for that memory. God Bless
