Suzanne Weber, 46, of Tempe died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 7, 2013 after a 6 year battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 24, 1966 in Raleigh, NC. Until recently she was employed by AZ State University as a neuroscience researcher and Lab Manager. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia University, New York with a BA in English and later from AZ State University Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Psychology. She did graduate work in neuroscience at the University of CT, prior to contracting cancer in 2007. She is survived by her parents, William (Bill) and Musette Weber of Virginia Beach, VA, her grandmother, Ruth Johnson Weber of Mystic, CT, a brother, William (Bill) Weber also of Virginia Beach, an aunt, Ann Weber Whitlatch and husband Robert also of Mystic, and cousins, Hilary Whitlatch of Providence, RI and Morgan Whitlatch and husband Jon Widrick of Silver Spring, MD. Other survivors include close friend of 30 years, Kristi Zeller and partner Mark Muraoka and their son Avery, along with numerous friends & 2 beloved cats. Local services will be held 11:00 AM Sat., Jan 12, at Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church, 1565 E. Warner Rd., Tempe AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA.
