Tammy Leikem Obituary
46, of Buckeye, AZ died August 2, 2014 in Glendale, AZ. She was born October 3, 1967 in Tucson, Arizona to John Leikem and Linda Santeford. Tammy served over 9 years with the Arizona Department of Corrections attaining the title of Lieutenant. She worked at Sunshine Acres Group Home for Kids for 3 years. She proudly wore #54 with the University of Arizona Wildcats Basketball. Her biggest accomplishment was touching the lives of so many people. She is survived by Veronica Thomas and Julie Miller; her son Jackie Boy (K-9); sisters Connie Sherman and Wendy Hatt; her mother and stepfather, Linda and Daddy Dan Santeford; and father John
Leikem. Visitation will be held from 10-11am, Service at 11am, on Saturday, August 9th at Skyway Church, 14900 W. Van Buren St., Goodyear, AZ 85338. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ. Condolences can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com/guestbook.

My amazing, beautiful, loving sista! I still cannot believe your time here on earth is gone. I cannot imagine the rest of my life without you in it. :-( I'm soooooo going to miss you! Beautiful girl you touched so many lives that you don't even know. Hope this find you at peace . I'm sure you are loving it where you are now. all your relatives that you so dearly loved . give them all hugs for me and let them know that I will see them there one day. Didn't know you well but, your mom and sisters write such beautiful memories about you. My dear sweet little sister...I cannot believe you are gone. =( You were the light and the comedian of our family, and you are missed beyond belief. I am so thankful you came to live with us in May! I will forever cherish these past few months. We had so many good times by the fire, in the pool, taking drives, you telling me to punch it and go through a flash flood on July 4th. We were definitely stupid motorists that night!! We made it though! We made memories, laughed, talked, cried, shopped, and hugged. You said it would be "just you and me forever"...and now I literally feel like half of me is missing. Until we see each other again..I pray you are at peace and the darkness has turned to a beautiful light. You deserve it pretty lady! Rest now baby girl. I'm looking forward to one of you big ole hugs when we do see each other again. I miss them. I miss you and love you to the moon and back a million times. Peck sends her kisses!

My beautiful daughter oh how I miss you and wish so hard that I could just bring you back. I love you with all my heart and have an awful empty feeling. Lt. Leikem, you were a gentle giant with a genuine infectious smile. (I will always remember your smile). I was deeply sadden to hear of your passing and yet never had a chance to say how much I valued your leadership and strength which you honorably displayed looking over your shift at Aspen. Even though, in my mind, your time there was brief you gave me direction and advice I shall harbor for this lifetime. I once told you, you reminded me of family: you were.
