Thomas Wayne Tatro, 66, of Tempe, Arizona was called by the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, February 21, 2015 while boating at Canyon Lake. He was born July 10, 1948 in Auburn, New York and graduated from SUNY Delhi and Syracuse University with a Bachelor's of Science in Construction Management. He grew up in upstate New York and had a love for hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed the outdoors and traveled to many places in the United States and Mexico to hunt and fish with family and friends. Tom spent his adult life in the construction industry where he was highly respected for his moral ethics and honesty. Tom's passion was fly-fishing and he spent his free time fishing and teaching others about his favorite sport. He will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and giving man who touched so many lives.
He is survived by his mother Eva Tatro, of Savona, New York; son Michael Tatro M.D. (Mary), of Lower Salem, Ohio; daughter Stephanie Manahl of Gilbert, Arizona; grandsons Mason Tatro and Connor Manahl; granddaughter Kimberly Tatro; brothers Kenneth Tatro (Cheri) of Richland, Missouri; & Steven Tatro (Julie) of Savona, New York; sisters, Carolyn Cleveland (Larry) of Coopers Plains, New York & Debra Hanlin of Columbia, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom's Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 14th from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Bass Pro Shop (upper level conference room), located at 1133 North Dobson Road, Mesa, AZ 85201. Everyone is welcome to celebrate with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's name to Arizona Fisher House which provides housing, transportation and support to the families of hospitalized wounded warriors and veterans. http://www.arizonafisherhouse.org/
