I was so shocked to read on the WIU Lab school board about Tim's passing.
In high school, I considered Tim as one of my best friends. (Actually, I met Tim before he transferred to the Lab school; he used to come to the public library in the afternoons when I worked there....he devoured books in a flash!)
Tim and I held similar moral views, and he was always both a deep thinker , yet light at heart at the same time.
May G-d's grace comfort you.
Sincerely, Ruth Palatnik (Ann Shelton)

Fr. Tim
Was a part of my life from grade school at St. Thomas through my adult life of getting married and being the priest to marry my husband and I to baptizing 3 out of 4 of my childen. He was also a friend of my parents and I have fond memories of him. He was a great man and priest and will be greatly missed.

May the spirit of love and the compassion of others help you through these days. With loving thoughts of Tim

Dearest Peggy and Cathy,
To say that I was shocked when I read the e-mail from St. Meinrad and then viewed Tim's obituary is an understatement of tremendous proportions. I had just tried to contact him a few days before, hoping to get together over the Thanksgiving holiday. I had no idea of his condition, and am still wondering what happened to my dearest friend from seminary. I can honestly say this: If Tim had not been there for me back then, I would not be a priest today; he was (and is) dearly loved and deeply appreciated. You are in my prayers, and I hope to be able to visit with you in the near future. By e-mail, I can be reached at [email protected]. May the Lord comfort you ... and us.

Dear Peggy and Cathy,
Although I would give a great deal to be able to spend some time talking to Tim right now, he remains very vibrantly, vividly alive in my memory. Of all the relationships I enjoyed during high school and early adulthood, few brought me as much joy--and taught me as much--as my friendship with Tim. Tim was a true original: creative, highly articulate, hilarious and, occasionally, outrageous! I've often thought, at various times in my life, that I needed a dose of Tim's wonderful humor, as well as his penetrating insight, to help me along the way.
I'll continue to remember those things and others.
God's blessings to you and all Father Tim's many friends!
Fond regards, Tom Stipanowich

Fr. Tim was very special and a part of our lives while our children attended St Thomas. He also celebrated mass for our 25th wedding anniversary and our father's 70 birthday celebration. We have not seen him in recent years but he will always be a special part of our lives. Rest in peace and joy Fr Tim

I'll always remember our times back at Western High, working on the paper and yearbook, having political discussions, and hanging out with the gang. I'm so glad we got a chance to visit on our family vacation a few years ago. I could tell then that you had found a wonderful home in your beloved Arizona where you could contribute your compassion and were loved in return.

We are so saddened to hear of Father Tim's passing. He was our son's favorite priest. We knew him when we belonged to Resurrestion parish. Our son was three yrs. old then--he is now 28. We moved to Holy Spirit parish 20 years ago and were so happy to have Father Tim there in recent times. We used to attend Masses @ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel just to be @ one of his Masses. What a good shepherd of Christ, and servant to the people he was! May he rest in peace. Our condolences to his family. Sincerely, The Chapman-Hushek Family

I am so sad at Fr. Tim's passing. I rejoice that he is seated at the banquet in the Kingdom, but I already miss his presence, his wit, his honesty, his challenge, and his deeply felt faith.

Father Tim,
You've touched so many lives on earth, with love, and kindness, and yes, with mirth.
You Humbly Tended to His Flock,
In times of heartbreak, a steady rock,
In times of joy, a sight to see, a boyish laughter
filled with glee.
Your Soul has gone to Heavenly Grace,
to meet Our Savior, face to face,
and be held in God's Sweet Embrace.
Now you can sing with Angels breath,
Because through Christ,
There is no death.
With Love and Gratitude,
The Steele Family

I have known Father Tim since he was four years old, when his parents were professors at Northern Arizona University. He was one of the finest men I have ever known. He certainly was the brightest person that I ever had conversations with over these many years. His father, Francis was my mentor in college. His mother is my wife's God mother. I will miss Tim and the discussions that I always looked forward to every time we met. He was a real Notre Dame man, scholar, and priest. God rest his soul.

“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” Father Tim you are Home at Last, shining brightly. Maybe you've gone Fishing with Francis...
