Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss…my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. I have fond memories of Mrs. Baker during my visits to the home to meet with Teresa. She was so filled with life and we all celebrated the preparation for Teresa and Tim's wedding.
I, too, lost my mother in the past couple years. Please find comfort in the love that lives on and the special memories.
Peace, prayers and blessings.

I have a great memory of Tommie standing in my Arizona room, practicing our memory work for P.E.O. As the rest of us got more vocal and more frustrated, it was Tommie who stood perfectly still and patient.
There was always something still and patient about Tommie. I didn't know she had been a social worker until today but I am not surprised because she seemed to have an almost other-worldly understanding of what people were going through. And, there she would be, quietly offering to help in the most perfect way at the most perfect time leaving everyone she touched better for having known her. Her great generosity of spirit was matched by her great generosity of action.
The home that she and Bill had was so peaceful that you knew what sacred was when you stepped inside. It was evident, even to a visitor, that they chose to live their lives on the paths of loving and caring. Tommie may have been the one who could sit in the tiniest chair but she was the one with the biggest heart. It's that generous heart and kind spirit that showed up in her sweet smile and tender eyes. Oh, how this truly sweet and loving soul will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to Bill Baker for his loss. He was my supervisor when I was also working for The City of Phoenix, HSD in the late and early 1990's. He loved Tommie so much, that he had a personalized license plate with her name "Tommie" on his car.
