Val Blask Obituary
Val Carl Blask, 87, of Phoenix AZ, died Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was predeceased by Jacquelyn, his beloved wife of 62 years. Mr. Blask is survived by his sons Val B. Blask and Michael J. Blask (Mary E.); grandchildren Kayse Blask, Kerri Lee and Chris Blask; great grandchildren Preston Blask, Dylan Lee, Kamryn Lee and Jorja Lee. Mr. Blask was a WWII US Navy veteran. He loved camping and fishing with his grandchildren, and was an avid golfer - he even made two holes-in-one after the age of 70! Visitation will be Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10:30 am, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. I remember Mr Blask's very pleasant smile and the fact he could hit the longest/highest fly balls to us little leaguers ever. Good memories/better man!
