Fond, fond memories

I know I'd said it before, but if I'd had time to say it again, this is what I would have told you: No one could have asked for a better uncle than you, Uncle Kent. When I was a child, you would take time to talk to me about important things, and you would really listen. In a world where most adults are in a rush or just humor a child, do you know how special and helpful that was to me? As an adult living overseas, I'd still call to talk to you regularly because you remained a pillar of strength and wisdom in my life. I hope I brought even a small measure to your life of the fulfillment you brought to mine. I am a better, stronger person for having you as my uncle and my friend. Love always, Kirsten

I had the opportunity of working with Kent in his community. I found him to be a delight. He was always helpful and caring and treated the community as his home. He worked hard and was an honest man.

As one of Kent's neighbors over at Mariposa, I always admired how he'd walk Elizabeth to the car in the morning. I found him to be a kind and helpful individual and was saddened by his passing. I will always keep him and his family in my prayers.
