Walter Behm Obituary
Walter E. Behm II, 53, of Tempe, AZ passed away September 21, 2012. He was born Sept. 24, 1958 in Lincoln, IL to Walter E. Behm Jr., and Patricia J. Zieglowsky Behm. He graduated from Lincoln Community High School, ISU in Normal, IL, and from Pacific Banking School in Seattle, WA. He was a senior vice president in Credit Solutions at National Bank of Arizona for many years. He married Julie Grunder on June 18, 1983. Walt is survived by his wife, Julie; his daughters, Marissa and Sarah Behm, both of Tempe; his father, Walter; his sisters, Cynthia Haseley (David) of Castle Rock, CO and Beth Seaney (Roy) of Tallula, IL; as well as 5 nieces and 2 grand-nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, and his brother, Stephen. A celebration of Walt's life will be held on Sat., Sept. 29, at 10 am at Bueler Chandler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. The family suggests memorials in Walt's name to the Arthritis Foundation.

I worked with Walt at NBA. He was a true gentleman, kind and respectful to everyone. I admired him for his patience, understanding and kindness. He was a special man and he will be missed. My prayers to his family. I know you will miss him. I pray you take comfort that his time here was a gift from God. Bless you all.

What sad news greeted me on Facebook this evening (thanks Janice)! I was a transfer to LCHS as a Junior and meeting Walt was one of my wonderful memories; he was kind and a real joy to be around. He made me feel welcome to the LCHS community. So young, I know this has to be a blow to the whole Family. Memories and knowing how he touched so many will help heal the blow. Prayers and love to all of you.

I am shocked and saddened to here of the loss of Walt. Walt worked for me for several years at logan CC. before moving to Arz. I considered him a dear and good friend. I can't beleive he is gone. My prayers are with you and your family.

My sympathies go out to Julie, Sarah and Marissa. Walt and I worked years ago at NBA in Tucson. He was a good friend and co-worker. We had a great time joking around, and he always showed unfaillingly good humor. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

This is a difficult time but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to work with and to get to know Walt. He touched peoples lives because he never pretended to be anyone else but Walt. May his memory last with us all and especially his family.

Julie, sorry I didn't get to visit with you after HP's service. Thoughts have been with you and all the Behm family this past difficult week. Walt was a great guy and we always enjoyed our visits with you two - Walt was always entertaining in HS. Lean on those that make you stronger.

My nephew Walt was one of the finest young men you could ever meet. I am so glad I saw him just recently when back home. I still cannot believe he is away from us now but I do know that pain and suffering is no more for those who believe in Jesus Christ Our Savior. Walt - We will all miss you, very much; you definitely left this old earth much too soon. It must, however, be an amazing feeling for you to now be in a place totally free from pain.
